We booked a private tour of Peneda-Gerês National Park and had a wonderful day. André greeted us punctually and, during the drive from Braga, shared fascinating insights into the city’s history, the rivers and the different mountain ranges within the park. He was extremely knowledgeable and engaging, giving just the right amount of detail, and was a careful driver on the narrow, winding roads. We stopped at breathtaking viewpoints, saw wild animals, listened to local birds and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Lunch in a small village was fantastic, followed by further stops of historical interest. André also kindly took us to another important place we wanted to visit, even though it was not part of the official tour, saving us a separate trip the next day. He was warm, considerate and excellent company, with a clear passion for his country and region. We would recommend this tour without hesitation.

We booked this as a last minute trip on our last day as our flight was not until 10pm and our driver Andre Soares was very accommodating about our luggage and dropping us off at the bus station, thank you. Jessica met us at the winery and was very professional, personable and friendly with her wine knowledge and information and at no time did we feel pressured for a hard sale of the wine which was a welcome change from other tours we have been on over the years. Throughout the excellent wine tasting she took the time to answer all our questions. The food provided was a welcome bonus. We had a short walk through the vines and then took a the accommodation and Andre gave us an insight in to the history of the buildings and the area which was again excellent. This was a great tour of a smaller winery which does not get over run by coach loads of tourists and I would highly recommend this. They also offer picnics amongst the vines.

Everything was perfect. The place and landscape was beautiful. Our transfer driver and our wine tasting tour guide were very kind and told us some interesting things about the vineyards and the history of it and of the country in general. The wines were very delicious and tasty, they were good with the cheese and ham. Overall it was a perfect experience for us, I definitely recommend this place!

The private equity tour was absolutely wonderful and exactly what we expected. We wanted a scenic overview of the park and Andrés stopped at all the interesting overlooks for picture taking. We saw cows and goats and stopped at convenient villages for refreshment. Andrés tailored the trip to what we wanted to do and was the perfect host with lots of information about the park. Highly recommend and a great value!
